SMATO assures of running water in a few weeks after resurrecting Oko water project abandoned several years

Following his resolute move towards community development and progress, the House of Representatives member for Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, Hon. Makanjuola Smato has promised that the abandoned Oko water will be operational in a few weeks after securing its resuscitation.

Recall that the monumental initiative, initially undertaken by the Federal Ministry of Water Resources of Ogun-Osun Rivers Basin Development Authority, had suffered setbacks as a result of negligence of previous administrations.

According to an earlier report, Hon. Smato mobilised resources and engaged the project’s contractors to assure its timely completion within a few weeks.

However, a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday by Smato media bureau, indicated that the Oko water is currently undergoing testing process after its completion and supervision by Hon. Ojo Sunday Makanjuola Smato.

The statement read: “After visiting the project site this week, I can assure the good people of Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency that Oko water, which was abandoned for several years has finally completed.

“Currently, as we speak, the Oko water is undergoing testing process, and the water will be operational in a few weeks.“Through Smato’s proactive and decisive actions, he has demonstrated his commitment to fulfilling his mandate of serving the people.

“By prioritizing the completion of this vital infrastructure project, he is paving the way for improved living conditions and enhanced access to essential services for his constituents.

“The completion of the Oko Water Supply project stands as a testament to Hon. Makanjuola’s effective leadership and dedication to the welfare of the community. As the project is completed, it is poised to bring lasting benefits to the people of Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, underscoring Hon. Makanjuola’s resolute resolve to drive positive.”
