Oyo lawmaker, Bisi Oluranti commiserates with Makinde, affected parents over Ibadan stampede
Lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North State Constituency, Hon. Bisi Oluranti Micheal, has commiserated with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, and affected parents over the recent stampede that claimed some lives during a concert in Ibadan.
Recall that a stampede had occurred at private children’s fun fair held at Basorun Islamic High School that resulted in the deaths of most children and the injuries of a few others in the early hours of Wednesday.
The lawmaker equally commiserated with Olufunke Comforter Olajide, representing Ibadan North 1 Constituency, in whose constituency the ugly incident occurred.
In a condolence message on Friday, she said: “I condole with the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and the people of Oyo State on the tragedy that occurred on Wednesday, 18th of December 2024 where many children lost their lives in a stampede.
“My condolences are also sent to Hon. Olufunke Comforter Olajide, who represents Ibadan North Constituency 1, in whose ward the incident occurred.
“I sympathize with the family friends, and loved ones of the deceased.
“For those who are still in the hospital, I also pray for a quick recovery and complete healing.
“May the Lord grant peace to Oyo State, solace to bereaved families, and hope to those who are currently suffering. My deepest condolences go out to everyone impacted by this tragic event.”
