GSM-Hope for Persons with Disabilities: A New Era of Inclusion in Oyo State— Timothy Olufemi Sunday

The Executive Assistant to Oyo State Governor on Disability Matters, Hon. Timothy Olufemi Sunday, has extended his heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency, Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering support and commitment to the welfare and empowerment of persons with disabilities in Oyo State.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Friday, Hon. Timothy noted that the Governor’s recent release of the Tescom and Subeb lists, which saw numerous persons with disabilities gain employment, is a testament to his administration’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities for all citizens, regardless of their abilities.

According to him, His Excellency has not only fulfilled his pledge to recruit SUBEB and TESCOM teachers, but has also taken action to provide equal employment opportunities for educators from all backgrounds.

The statement read: “As the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters, I am proud to be part of an administration that prioritizes the welfare and empowerment of persons with disabilities. 

“Governor Makinde’s leadership and vision have been instrumental in promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities, and we are grateful for his unwavering support.

“We acknowledge the significant strides Governor Makinde’s administration has made in promoting disability inclusion in Oyo State. From the provision of accessible infrastructure to the promotion of inclusive education and employment opportunities, Governor Makinde’s administration has demonstrated a clear commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all.

“We thank His Excellency for his unwavering support and commitment to the inclusion and empowerment of persons with disabilities in Oyo State. We look forward to continuing to work with his administration to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.”
