Oriire LG Chairman, Hon. Olateju reels out achievements, praises Gov. Makinde 

..Set to commission project in December 

Determined to improve the general well-being of the indigenes and dwellers of Oriire local government area, the council Chairman, Hon. Michael Olateju Alabi has given accounts of his stewardship, with the prospect of commissioning an Office-space for Amotekun security corps covering the council area within the next two months, while hinting on other ongoing projects and with the promise of starting more soon. 

Hon. Isiaka Sarafadeen Owonikoko – the Ass. Secretary of the council area who addressed our news-writer in place of the council boss had credited the masses-friendly leadership of the State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde as the recipe for the milestone recorded, without leaving out the traditional, religious leaders and youths, among others for the achievements recorded.

According to Owonikoko, “By God’s grace, My Principal, Hon. Teju is gradually delivering the electioneering promises made to our people and we are proceeding with the good work until dividends go round the almost 800 towns and villages of Oriire. 

Some of the projects executed includes but not limited to:

1. Our community vigilante group was equipped with five Motorcycles, while one and another generator set was facilitated to the DSS for ease of doing their businesses in June 2022,

2. We helped facilitated a Primary Health care centre in Ikoyi-Ile Community in the year 2022 to improve health status of rural communities within the council area, especially women and children,

3. Box culvert was constructed to properly channel flows of flood along Ladokun village, close to Iluju community, 

4. Grading of access road linking from Tewure to Olooru communities in December, 2023 to ease commuting of farm produce to the market places,

5. 50bags of fertilisers and other farm inputs were also recently provided for our farmers to boost the productivity and farm businesses of our farmers in September 2024 at the council headquarters here in Ikoyi-Ile and this periodically constant.

6. Several borehole water system was facilitated in rural communities and more are still ongoing in ward 6 precisely, 

7. Amotekun security Office, located at Ikoyi-Ile is under construction and commissionable in December, 2024,

8. In February this year 2024, we partnered our darling Oriire Youth Council to facilitate a pre-jamb quiz competition where we also sponsored ten candidates from our secondary schools.

“These projects were carefully selected from our list and they are to improve the living standard of our people. With the preparedness of this administration in my knowledge, I want to assure our people that we are not relenting in the delivery of more developmental projects in communities’’, Owonikoko concluded.
