Oke Elesin Tragedy:  Ona Ara LG Chair, Dr. GLORIOUS Visits Scene, Commiserates with Deceased Families

Earlier this morning, the Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo Glorious, visited the scene of the tragic incident that occurred at Oke Elesin and checked on the injured victims who are currently receiving treatment at Amuloko City Hospital.

According to reports signed by the Chairman’s Press Secretary, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, the unfortunate incident was caused by the brake failure of a truck carrying tiles. While we sympathize with the victims once again, Dr. Glorious expressed his gratitude to Dr. Raji of Amuloko City Hospital for his noble gesture of treating all the injured victims without waiting for any directives from the government. This act of generosity is in support of the Local Government’s ongoing efforts to provide relief to those affected by the tragedy.

Following the hospital visit, the Chairman initiated the clearing of the roadside drainage and continued the process of filling portholes on Oke Elesin Road. These efforts are being made to ensure the safety of road users and facilitate smoother movement within the community.

The manager of a filling station near Oke Elesin was also warned to do the clearing of the blocked drainage which caused erosion to flow to the main sloppy road. The Chairman said he had visited the filling station last week Tuesday with an instruction to clean up the drains.

The Chairman was accompanied by key members of his administration, including the Vice Chairman, Hon. Windapo Oluwole; Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Femi Abolade Yerima; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Sunmonu; Chief of Staff, Hon. Isiaka Arinola; Supervisory Councillors; and his Special Assistants.

Once again, Dr. Temitope Kolapo Glorious extends his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and the entire Ona Ara community.
