Comr Lekan Ayorinde Actor supports Quarter Finalists of Soun Football Competition, urges the rich to key into Soun’s developmental agenda
In support of the community development efforts championed by His Royal Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Orumogege III, Hon. Lekan Ayorinde, popularly known as “Actor,” donated footballs to the eight Quarter Finalists of the Maiden Edition of the Soun Orumogege Football Competition, currently taking place at Soun Stadium, Ogbomoso.
The donation benefitted teams including Romeo FC, Adifala FC, Masifa United FC, Olobada FC, Jordan FC, Favours FC, Awoye FC, FC Zenith, and the organizing committee. Hon. Oyerinde’s contribution reflects his passion for youth development through sports and his commitment to providing avenues for young people to showcase their talents.
Speaking on the significance of sports in the community, Hon. Ayorinde noted the limited recreational opportunities available to Ogbomoso youths, which often leave them with few healthy options for socialization. He stressed the importance of initiatives like the football competition in creating positive outlets for youth engagement.
Actor also called on well-resourced Ogbomoso indigenes to contribute to the developmental vision of Oba Orumogege III, urging collective responsibility in making such projects successful. He praised the efforts of OYMC President Rev. Peter Olaleye Olawuyi, Hon. Sunday RCC, and Coach Oyedeji Tunji for their roles in the event’s organization.
