Oloye Jumoke Akinjide condoles with Ona Ara Muslim community over Chief Imam’s death
The former Minister of State for FCT, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, has commiserated with the Muslim community of Ona Ara Local Government Area of the state over the demise of its Chief Imam, Sheikh Aminullah Kupalo, who died yesterday night.
In her condolence message on Friday, the Oyo PDP chieftain described the scholar’s death as a colossal loss to the entire community and Muslim Ummah.
While eulogizing the late erudite scholar’s virtues, she noted that the cleric was highly respected not only in Ona Ara but in the state due to his dedication to ensure Islamic development and knowledge he exhibited in the course of religion propagation over the years.
According to her, Sheikh Kupalo’s death had dealt a great blow to the good people of Ona Ara Local Government and surrounding communities and would be greatly missed.
She added that the late chief Imam throughout his life was never at any point in time found wanting to anchor hatred, violence preaching or inciting the congregation against the adherents of other religion.
The former Minister who prayed Allah to give the deceased family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss also prayed that the late Imam is granted Al-Jana Firdaus.
In her words: “It is shocking beyond words to learn about the passing of Fadeelat Sheikh Aminullah Kupalo, the Chief Imam of Ona Ara Local Government Area.
“Sheikh Kupalo was a respected scholar who promoted right ideals that foster peace and unity, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
“I join the people of Ona Ara, particularly the Muslim community, in mourning a worthy religion leader.
“I pray for the repose of the soul of the deceased and hoped that those left behind, especially family members, can find solace and strength in the memories of his remarkable life and the knowledge that his legacy will endure generations. May Allah grant him eternal rest.”
