Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola Marks 100 Days in Office with Remarkable Achievements

As Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola completes his first 100 days as the Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government, his tenure has already seen significant strides in infrastructure development, security enhancement, and community support. Below are some of the key achievements during this period:

1. Strengthening Security Operations

Hon. Olayiwola has prioritized security within the local government by focusing on the needs of law enforcement agencies and vigilantes. Under his leadership:

• The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) Kishi Division’s patrol vehicle was repaired, ensuring uninterrupted policing in the area.
• Vigilante groups also received a boost with the repair of their patrol vehicle and the presentation of five motorcycles, enhancing their mobility and response time in combating crime.
• Recognizing the importance of collaboration, a joint task force was created to secure the Kishi-Igbeti Forest Reserve route, a known hotspot for criminal activities. Necessary logistics were provided to ensure effective operations.
• Provision of Walkie Talkies for security agencies including Local Vigilantes to monitor one another during operation flush out the bad elements in Irepo Local Government

2. Empowering the Community

Hon. Olayiwola has shown unwavering commitment to the development of Kishi and its environs through various community donations:

• Financial aid was provided for the maintenance of the Kishi Mini Stadium, a key recreational facility for the youth.
• The local division of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) received a motorcycle to enhance their operations.
• In a bid to support local corps members, a generator and public address system were presented, ensuring they can carry out their duties efficiently.
• To address the persistent power issues in Kishi, logistics were provided to the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) to trace and repair faults affecting the local power supply.

3. Boosting Educational Initiatives

Education remains a priority for Hon. Olayiwola, as evidenced by several initiatives:

• A major milestone was achieved with the approval and upgrading of Liberty Text School, Kishi, enhancing educational standards in the community.
• Over 300 applicants for SUBEB positions benefited from organized tutorial classes, ensuring they are well-prepared for the recruitment process.
• Additionally, Hon. Olayiwola facilitated the approval of Nana-Asmau Orphanage School, further broadening educational opportunities for vulnerable children.
• – In collaboration with the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), a motorcycle was facilitated and presented to the Irepo Local Government Universal Basic Education Authority (LGUBEA) to support their work.

4. Advancing Infrastructure Development

Infrastructure improvements have been another area of focus during Hon. Olayiwola’s first 100 days:

• The installation of solar energy at the Irepo Local Government Secretariat has not only reduced operational costs but also promoted sustainable energy use.
• To maintain the aesthetics and functionality of public spaces, a lawn mower machine was purchased for the local government, ensuring that the environment remains well-kept.

5. Agriculture

 • Distribution of fertilizers      to the farmers across the ten wards to boost the agricultural products due to the stoppage of rain the farmers experienced last month
