Eid-el-Maulud: Arapaja Felicitates Muslims Ummah
The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has felicitated with Muslims ummah across the nation on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
In a felicitation statement personally issued by Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja but made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, Ambassador Arapaja urged Muslims to use the period of celebration to reflect on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad which encompasses compassion, love, tolerance, fair, justice and forgiven
He emphasised that if these virtues of peace, love, tolerance and forgiveness exemplified by the life of Prophet Muhammad throughout his lifetime are emulated there will be an end to majority of problems facing the world today.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Maulud, it is important that we Muslims rededicate ourselves to the ideals of justice, compassion, and peaceful coexistence which are the hallmarks of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad during his lifetime.
While appealing to Nigerians to desist from any acts capable of hampering the nation’s progress, Amb. Arapaja called for more prayers for the country’s leaders especially in Oyo state under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde as he continues to give dividends of democracy to the people.
