Chief Of Defence Staff Rewards Soldiers For Killing Notorious Bandit Commander, Kachallah Buzu

The Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Christopher Musa has announced a cash reward of N1 million for the troops that killed notorious Zamfara bandit commander Kachallah Buzu.

MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that Kachallah Buzu was killed alongside several of his fighters, in what has been described as a breakthrough against banditry and terrorism.

He was neutralized the night of September 12 in Mayanchi village by troops from the Joint Task Force Northwest OPHD in Zamfara state after an ambush was laid by the military following intelligence reports on the terrorists’ movements.

The elated CDS, while reacting to the successful operation, has now offered the cash reward to the troops involved in the offensive against Buzu and the other fighters during his visit to Zamfara State.

The CDS had also said time is ticking against another bandit leader, Turji Bello, and other bandits and terrorists as troops are committed to ending insecurity in Zamfara and the North West Zone.
