100 Days: Irepo PDP Chairman, Elders congratulate LG Chairman TT, lauds Makinde, Lawal, Edu Commissioner

Elders and members of Peoples Democratic Party in Irepo Local Government have extend their warmest congratulations to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola (TT) on his 100 days in office, stating that during his term, notable advancements have been made in community support, infrastructure development, and security.

The group equally expressed gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde and his deputy, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, as well as the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Soliu Abdul-waheed Adelabu for their unflinching support of Hon. TT since he assumed office.

The Group, in a statement signed by the party’s Chairman Hassan Odejide and Secretary Abdul Baki Jamiu, respectively, and made available to journalists on Saturday, commended the chairman for exhibiting extraordinary vision, dedication, and commitment to the council’s expansion and development.

The Group said the Executive Chairman’s leadership style is defined by inclusivity, empathy, and a profound understanding of the needs of the community.

According to the Group, Irepo Local Government has witnessed significant progress and positive transformations under his leadership in the shortest period of time.

They clarified that Hon. Olayiwola gave security within the local government top priority by concentrating on the needs of law enforcement agencies and vigilantes. These included fixing the patrol vehicle of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) Kishi Division, improving the mobility and response time of vigilantes in battling crime, safeguarding the Kishi-Igbeti Forest Reserve route, which is a known hotspot for criminal activity, and giving police access to other necessary tools to fight crimes.

A motorcycle was also given to the local branch of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to improve operations, the statement continued, noting that the Chairman has continued to demonstrate unwavering commitment to the development of Kishi and its environs through various community supports, as well as provision of financial aid for the upkeep of the Kishi Mini Stadium.

According to them, a generator and public address system were presented to NYSC Corps members to ensure that the Corpers in the local government carry out their duties efficiently.

They added that the chairman also addressed the persistent power issues with provision of logistics to the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) to trace and repair faults affecting the local power supply.

The PDP Excos and elders equally commended the LG Chairman for his several support on education in the council particularly with the facilitation of the approval of Nana-Asmau Orphanage School to further broadening educational opportunities for vulnerable children.

While commending the chairman on the installation of solar energy at the Irepo Local Government Secretariat, the group noted that his 100 days in office has witnessed several infrastructural developments including in the agricultural sector with distribution of fertilizers to farmers across wards in the local government to mention but few.

“On behalf of the party stakeholders, elders and entire members in the Irepo local government, we congratulate the Executive chairman, Hon. TT Olayiwola on his 100 days in office.

“We need to also appreciate His Excellency, Seyi Makinde, His Excellency, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, and the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Soliu Adelabu, for their unwavering support of the party and the local government during these historic developments in Irepo Local Government.

“We are indeed grateful as we believe that the chairman will continue to make us proud. Once again, congratulations. We look forward to many more accomplishments under your leadership.”

The elders include Hon J.S Amodu; Hon Ibrahim Tijani; Pa ADEJUMOBI Solomon; Alh Jimoh Oyewole and host of others.

Similarly, Special Assistants to Oyo Deputy Governor from Irepo Local Government have also extended their congratulations to the Chairman on the occasion of his 100 days in office.

Speaking on behalf of the team, the SA political, Hon. Yusuff Ajagbe wished the chairman a successful tenure in office while pledging their continued support for his administration.
