I’ve lost a good colleague— SMATO mourns Jagaban’s death
A member of House of Representatives, representing Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, Hon. Makanjuola Smato has expressed sadness over the sudden death of Hon. Akinremi Jagaban, the Federal House of Representatives member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, describing it as a painful loss.
In a press statement made available to journalists on Wednesday, the lawmaker expressed his condolences to his family, residents of Ibadan North Federal Constituency, the members of his political party (APC), as well as the entire people of Oyo state.
He prayed to God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
Smato, who is the chairman of the House Committee on Friendship Group to Pakistan, and Deputy Chairman House Committee of Solid Minerals, stated that Jagaban was a good and amiable colleague known to be friendly, gregarious, and forward-looking personality.
He added that he was a dedicated lawmaker who worked nonstop to promote the well-being and development of his constituency and prayed that Almighty Allah grants him Aljanah Firdaus.
In his words: “I was shocked to learn of Hon. Akinremi Jagaban’s demise. I am incredibly heartbroken by this wonderful friend’s passing.
“Jagaban was a kind man who enjoyed relating to people regardless of their political parties. We shall miss him greatly.
“It is my prayer that God Almighty gives his family, the entire good people of Oyo state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
