Eid-el-Kabir: Oyo majority leader greets muslims, commends Makinde’s penchant for religious harmony

The majority leader of Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, has urged the Muslim community in Oyo state to show love and tolerance towards one another.

The lawmaker equally extended greetings to Muslim community in Ogbomoso land, the Chief imam of Ogbomoso land, Alhaji Taliat Ayilara and the Chief imam of Ogbomoso South.

In his goodwill message in commemoration of the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, and made available to newmen on Saturday, the lawmaker maintained that love and tolerance are veritable virtues for a peaceful, united and prosperous Nigeria.

Adedoyin, representing Ogbomoso South state constituency, implored leaders at all levels to show commitment to their people by making people-oriented policies that would drive dividends of democracy to the grassroot.

He commended the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde over what he termed his penchant for religious harmony and support for religious freedom.

In his words: “In commemoration of the 2024 Eid-el-kabir celebration, I congratulate the Muslim faithfuls in Oyo state and Nigeria. This is a moment for the Muslim community to show love and tolerance towards one another.

“While I salute the strong will of Governor Seyi Makinde to institute sense of equality among religions and adherents in the State, I task the Muslim adherents to use the ocassion to pray for a better and prosperous society.”
