Residents laud SMATO as asphalt laying begins in Oko to Arolu in Surulere LG

In a significant development, asphalt laying has commenced in Oko, the home town of a former House of Representatives member, which was facilitated by the current House of Representatives member, representing the good people of Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, Hon. Ojo Sunday Makanjuola Smato.

The development, which has undoubtedly attracted residents to turn out in large numbers to show their love, gratitude, and prayers, would also be expanded to Arolu in Surulere local government.

The project is in line with Governor Makinde’s infrastructural development agenda, aimed at improving the living standards of the people and ensuring that communities are better off than they were before intervention.

Speaking with newsmen on Wednesday, Hon. Okunlola Rahamon Olayide, who represented Smato during an ongoing project, made it known to the people of Oko Town that “This is just the beginning.”

According to him, the asphalt laying is aimed at improving connectivity and infrastructure within the adjoining communities in the federal constituency.

He noted that Hon. Smato is committed to the welfare of his constituents, adding that part of his constituency projects was the new completion of the water supply that has been abandoned for many years.

Hon. Olayide urged people to expect more in Oko and its communities, stressing that the ongoing construction would be completed to the highest quality standards.

He equally hinted that the asphalt laying would also commence in Ajaawa to Odo Oba for more dividends of democracy.

Excited by the development, the residents expressed their gratitude to the lawmaker for his efforts put into facilitating the project for the benefit of the residents.

They described him as a God-sent, in the short time he’s been in office, has transformed the constituency with his many projects, admirable initiatives, and among other things for constituents.

“Without a doubt, SMATO has etched his name in gold with his road project, innumerable courses for skill development and empowerment, and training.

“We are excited to see the work getting closer to completion since we have been waiting years for the development of this road. We are grateful for Hon. SMATO’s support. They continued, “Our is the first good thing our town has seen in a long time.
