Ex-Oyo First Lady, Mutiat Ladoja joins Nigeria First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu to mark first year anniversary in Abuja

Mrs. Mutiat Olayinka Ladoja, wife of a former Governor of Oyo State, Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, on Saturday, joined the Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and other First Ladies to mark first year anniversary in office, MOUTHPIECE NGR reports.

The event which was held at Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja, had in attendance the wife of Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, former First Ladies, Governors wives, among others across parties with the theme “Looking Ahead”

Senator Tinubu, who had earlier tasked wives of governors on collective responsibility, was commended for using her office to bring together women of all parties including former First Ladies together to join her in celebration of one year in office.

While celebrating the mothers of our nation, Alhaja Ladoja, during the cake-cutting ceremony, wished Senator Oluremi a successful tenure in office.

She urged all women to be one another’s keepers, pointing out that governance is a shared responsibility.

Mrs Ladoja described the nation’s First Lady as a committed advocate for women and youth emancipation, commending her for bridging the gaps irrespective of party affiliations for better Nigeria.

According to her, Senator Tinubu has demonstrated her humanitarianism by using her position in public office to bring women together including First Ladies and also to improve the lives of individuals from different tribes and religions.

“I am extending my warm felicitations on this great day whilst praying that God will continue to imbue her with more wisdom, great health and peace to be able to take on the present difficult task of unwaveringly standing in the gap on behalf of the downtrodden in our midst,” she said.

Senator Tinubu however described the former First Ladies as the mother of the nation.

Mrs Patience Jonathan; Mrs Victoria Gowon; Mrs Ajoke Muhammed; Mrs Abdul Salam; Mrs Obasanjo, Chief Mrs Onikepo Akande, Senator Ita Giwa and other wives of former past Head of States and President including former Oyo First Lady, Mrs Florence Ajimobi were among those present at the event who pledged their continuous support for the First Lady.
