Shoot me, Oyo Gov’s aide dares Yoruba nation agitator

According to Punch, On April 13, 2024, the Executive Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on Security, CP Sunday Odukoya (retd.), boldly confronted Yoruba nation agitators who had invaded the Government Secretariat at Agodi, Ibadan.

In a circulating video on social media, Odukoya fearlessly challenged the agitators, offering himself as a target instead of the police officers present, whom he had summoned to disperse the crowd. He emphasized that the officers were merely carrying out their official duties and should not be confronted.

Addressing the agitators directly, Odukoya questioned their authority to enter the Governor’s Office without permission, highlighting the inappropriate nature of their actions. His statements underscored the seriousness of the breach and the need for proper protocols to be observed when accessing government facilities.

Earlier that day, a group of Yoruba nation agitators, dressed in army camouflage, had stormed the secretariat with the intent of hoisting their flag in the area. However, they were swiftly subdued by a combined team of security operatives, resulting in the arrest of 10 suspects allegedly involved in the invasion.
