Scam Alert: Agboworin Warns Against Fake Recruitment Advert In NDLEA

The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Narcortic Drugs, Rep. Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, has reacted to a publication circulating in the media space about a purported recruitment going on in the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, saying it is not authentic.

The Rep Member, who represents Ibadan South East/North East Federal constituency, made the clarification through a statement personally signed by him, on Friday, noting that the publication is the handiwork of scammers aiming to defraud job seeking Nigerians.

Agboworin’s response came following series of messages sent to him by job seekers from his constituency and other Nigerians, requesting the veracity of the information from him as the Chairman of the Committee in the lower chamber of the National Assembly.

The lawmaker, who confirmed the development from the Chairman of the agency, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), authoritatively stated that “no recruitment is currently taking place.”

He, however, advised unsuspecting members of the public to shun the fake news, adding that the Agency would share information about any recruitment on its website and official social media platforms alone.
