Afonja congratulates Ogunlade on election victory, commends Makinde, OYSIEC

Former Oyo State Commissioner for Works and Transport and a Chieftain in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Prof. AbdulRahman Rapheal Afonja (PARA) has extended his congratulations to Hon. George Ogunlade and Salawu Adigun on their landslide victory in the Local Government elections held on Saturday 27th April.

The election results, which saw George Ogunlade and Salawu Adigun emerge victorious as Chairman and Vice Chairman elect respectively under the PDP banner, were met with jubilation and celebration across Ogbomoso North.

In his congratulatory message, Prof. AbdulRahman Afonja expressed his joy in Hon. George Ogunlade’s successful election campaign. He praised Ogunlade’s dedication, vision, and commitment to serving the people of Ogbomoso North with integrity and excellence.

“A hearty congratulations to Hon. George Ogunlade and Salawu Adigun for their well-deserved victory in the Local Government elections. Your landslide win is a testament to the trust and confidence the people of Ogbomoso North have in your leadership abilities,” stated Prof. Afonja.

Furthermore, Prof. Afonja took the opportunity to appreciate the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde in ensuring a free, fair, and transparent electoral process. He commended the Governor’s commitment to democratic principles and his support for credible elections in Oyo State.

“I commend Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering commitment to democracy and good governance. His leadership has been instrumental in fostering a conducive electoral environment, and I applaud his dedication to advancing the democratic ideals of our state,” added Prof. Afonja.

Additionally, Prof. Afonja commended the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) for conducting a smooth and efficient electoral process. He praised the commission’s professionalism, transparency, and adherence to electoral guidelines, which contributed to the success of the elections in Ogbomoso North and across the state.
