Makinde, Ogun gov, others attend Adebise’s book launch in Lagos

The Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde and Ogun state Governor, attended the public presentation of the book, “The Transformational Leader”, written by a former Managing Director of Wema bank, Ademola Adebise.

The event which took place in Lagos on Tuesday, also had other dignitaries in attendance including the Lagos State Governor, ably represented by the Secretary to the Lagos State Government, Bimbo Salu-Hudeyin and Founder of Elizade Motors, Chief Michael Ade- Ojo.

According to the book that highlighted the path of a Tech Bro to Bank CEO, Ademola Adebise is a transformational visionary leader with over 33 years of expertise in Information Technology, Treasury, and Risk Management, among other areas.

The book equally provided insight into the business of a software engineer who manages bank successfully and how an individual who started out as an average pupil become highly successful in academics and career as well as how an introvert thrive in a highly competitive industry that requires one to speak up and mingle every day.

How a novice will also get into a workplace and disrupt the entire industry for good were part of the questions one will find answers to within the pages of The Transformational Leader — the memoir of Ademola Adebise who got into the banking industry as a software engineer and rose to become the CEO who revolutionised the industry, creating a seismic shift that opened up the doors for other industries to emerge.

Speaking at the event, the Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, who was represented by his deputy, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, extolled the leadership prowess of the author saying that Mr Ademola Adebise has been a good leader to us in Southwest.

According to him, everyone have a lot to learn from Ademola Adebise as his magnanimity, broad mindedness have shown in everywhere he worked.

He said that the celebrant is not only the pride of his parent but pride of the western region of Nigeria, indeed pride of the nation, describing him as a complete gentleman who is very humble, respectful and knowledgeable.

Looking through the book which I requested when seated to know all about Ademola, I came to realize that the celebrant is coming from a background of profound education, well educated, well experienced and has taken all of these to really run positively on Wema bank, according to the Governor, who noted that the bank’s history has shown that Ademola Adebise has played a significant role in the transformation of the bank from one state to another.

“In Oyo state, we have a strong working relationship with Wema bank. We have really opened both institutional and governmental accounts and the relationship is profiting the state”, he added.
