Excitement as Oyo Deputy Gov’s aide, Badmus Adesola, others donate Jamb slots to Irepo students during YNN Educative Symposium
On the 13th of January, 2024, YNN-Irepo Chapter under the leadership of comrade Adegoke Mutiu, organized an educational symposium-carrier guidance and selling for all secondary schools in Kishi, the capital of Irepo local government and other prospective JAMB candidates to guide, enlighten and share experiences on the subject selection on each courses to be studied, requirements for admission, court off mark, and carrier opportunities available within and outside the society after graduating.
A statement by one of the organizers, Adegoke Mutiu indicated that the event was full of edutainment as speakers of high profile who passed through the three departments in their secondary school days were invited to enlighten the students.
Among them were Surveyor Ajibade Lukman Okanlawon, Former President, National Association of Oke-Ogun Students (NAOOS), Mr Ahmed Aderibigbe, Dept. Of Epidemiology & Community Health, UITH, Ilorin, and Mr AbdulMuqtadir Yunus, lecturer, Dept. Of Computer Science, Novelty polytechnic, kishi, who showcased their experience in science department and enlighten the students to the best of our satisfaction.
The speakers from art/humanity department are Barr. Ajeigbe Jimoh Abiola, Principal Counsel, Unique Chambers, Kishi, Hon. Fasasi Kehinde Akanni, Principal Identity Officer and Supervisor (NIMC) and Mr. Rauf Kabir, Admission Officer, Novelty Polytechnic, kishi. Others from Commercial department are Mr. Saheed A. Abdulkareem, Chief Accountant, UITH, Ilorin, and Mr Azeez Jamiu, TESCOM, Olanipekun Memorial College, Kishi, not only presented but their presentation hit our target.
Interestingly, the speakers were not at the occasion for presentation only, they contributed to development of YNN-Irepo and the upcoming generation by offering free JAMB slots to the students.
The event was graced by many dignitaries from the town such as the Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Hon. Badmos Adesola who didn’t attend only but shower his generosity by presenting free JAMB slots to some students who performed very well regarding questions thrown to them after all the presentations.
Also, the President, Kishi Progressive Youths Forum, Hon. Wuraola Surajudeen (a.k.a I.D Gold) graced the occasion and offered free JAMB slots to the students.
Other philanthropist and a nation builder who showed his kindness was the National President, Kishi Students’ Association, Com. Awotunde Awolola and others.
Many thanks to the principal of the six public secondary schools in the capital town of Irepo local government for welcoming the invitation and attended the occasion.
