Council renews Kalilu’s appointment as LAUTECH acting VC
MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that the Governing Council of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso has renewed the appointment of Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, as Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University for another period of six months.
This was contained in a statement signed by Kayode Ogunleye, the school registrar, who also double as the Secretary to the University Governing Council and Senate on Monday.
The statement said the council at its 147th meeting held on Friday December 1,2023, renewed the appointment of Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu as the acting Vice-chancellor.
It noted that the initial appointment which took effect from June 12, 2023, is expected to lapse on December 11, 2023.
It further reads: “With this development, the appointment of Prof. Kalilu has now been renewed for six months, with effect from December 12, 2023 to June 11, 2024.
“The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University Governing Council, Professor Ayodeji Omole, who presided over the meeting of Council, appreciated Prof. Kalilu for effectively overseeing the affairs of the University in the last six months and charged him to continue with prioritizing the interest of stakeholders of the Institution and leading it to greater height.”
