BELCOED organizes 10th year remembrance of Founder, Baba Isaiah Legacy, marks end-of-the-year party

The Best Legacy Group of Schools has organized an epoch-making 10th year remembrance of its Founder, Chief Isaiah Kolawole Oke Legacy.

The school also organized an end-of-the-year party for its primary and secondary school students.

The event which had several programmes began with opening speech from the College Provost, Mr. Oyerinde Bukola Sunday who outlined the essence of the remembrance as critical to recognition of his Legacy as the Founder.

“In over 10 years ago, the College has recorded giant strides across levels, while also upholding the standard on which the College was established in 2007. The Primary and High School, day and boarding, was established in 1996 while the college was established in 2007. It has sponsored over 2000 youths for educational scholarship scheme.

Ogbomoso North PDP Chairman, Hon. Hamzat Ibrahim also identified with the Oke family on behalf of the PDP as Baba Legacy was elder stateman in PDP before his death.

The Chairman Board of Directors, who doubles as one of Baba’s sons, Hon. John Adisa Oke spoke on behalf of the family to appreciate and political allies and friends who are present at the event.

“Today comes with a mixed feelings for my family but we are thankful for the life well spent and even in death, we can celebrate him and his legacies.

“I want to specially appreciate our royal fathers, my political leaders and everyone present today. I pray may the Almighty God bless you and return you back to your destination safely.”

Dignitaries in attendance include; HRHs, Oba Onijeru, Oba Amuda Akintoye Onilagbedu; Chairman Ogbomoso South, Hon. Timothy Oyeniyi Oyedokun; Ogbomoso North Chairmanship candidate, Hon. George Ogunlade.

Others include Ogbomoso North PDP Chairman, Hon. Hamzat Ibrahim; Alhaji Bahsir Sikiru; TPL Williams; Mrs Bolanle Olaniyi and others.
