Hon. Ige’s daughter graduates with 1st class at KDU 

For the family of the former Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige, it was another moment of joy and celebration as one of his daughters, Nuriyah Akanke Ige graduated from Kola Daisi University (KDU) with first class honour in Microbiology.

Not only that, Miss Ige also emerged as the overall best female graduating student in the 2023 academic session and equally won several awards.

Among are the awards and prizes donated by the founder, Chief Kola Daisi CON and award donated by Prof. Oladapo Afolabi.

While at the 300 level, the 21 year old Miss Ige was given scholarship by the institution for her brilliance performance and exemplary conduct both in academic and character before she crown it up with her emergence as the overall female graduating student during her convocation ceremony recently.

Meanwhile, the two female lawmakers in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Funke Comforter and Hon. Bisi Oluranti have congratulated Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige for the feat recorded by his daughter, describing her educational feat as a motivation for young girls to be determined and work harder while pursuing their educational career.

The duo of the female lawmakers, Hon. Commissioner for women affairs and social inclusion Mrs  Toyin Balogun were among the dignitaries that graced the convocation ceremony held recently.

Other dignitaries that were in attendance at the convocation ceremony included Hon. Yinka Omikunle and wife, Hon. Modiu Opeyemi Akande (Alabamusa), Hon. Kola Akintayo (Ilumoka) Hon. Musbau Sanusi (Shaba), Hon. Sikiru Sanda (Oyo Algon Chairman), Hon. Sunday Babatunde, Hon. Mudasiru Kamorudeen, Dr. Saheed Adetumbi Ige, Olori Halimat Muritala Alimi Otisese (Kano), HRM. (Oba) Abiodun Kola- Daisi, Prof. Adeniyi Oshuntogun, Mr  Remi Babalola, Prof. Adeniyi Olatibosun, friends, and well wishers of the graduand’s family.
