Continue supporting Gov. Makinde for more development in Oke ogun— Bayo Lawal urges ODCF

The deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal has called on the people of Oke-Ogun to keep supporting the current administration led by Governor Seyi Makinde for more infrastructural development in the zone.

Lawal made the call on Saturday while attending the general meeting of the Oke-Ogun Development Consultative Forum (ODCF) at the Queen event place, along Ado Awaye road, Iseyin.

He stated that the Makinde-led administration has started the process of developing the Oke-Ogun zone to an enviable level by establishing connectivity for agricultural purposes and focusing on the development of the region’s natural resources, while business owners are flocking to the area to establish their businesses.

The deputy governor, who was represented by his personal assistant, Adewale Mutalib Kura, as well as his SA Online, Waheed Ajibade, emphasised the need for peaceful coexistence among ODCF members and urged Oke-ogun community leaders to keep supporting Governor Seyi Makinde for more infrastructural development of the zone.

He cited the 38.85 kilometres of the Oyo-Iseyin Road, the Moniya-Iseyin Road, and the Iseyin-Ogbomoso Road as part of Makinde led administration projects that were completed, stressing that other major roads that lead to Oke-Ogun would also be covered in due course.

According to him, just as the government of Makinde was able to establish the Iseyin Campus of LAUTECH (The College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources), Oke-Ogun’s continued support for the current administration will spur greater development for the zone.

He added that the completed construction at LAUTECH Iseyin Campus is in fulfilment of the Oyo State Government’s multi-campus approach for the Ladoke Akintola University.
