BREAKING: LAUTECH loses Ex-acting VC, Liasu 

MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that Prof Mojeed Olaide Liasu, the immediate past acting vice-chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, is dead. 

While details of his demise were still hazy at the time of publication, our correspondent was reliably informed by sources that he passed away today following a brief illness. 

The 70-year old Ibadan-born professor died today, almost 6 months after retirement.

He had on June 12, 2023, retired at 70.

Until his death, he served as the acting vice chancellor following the resignation of the previous vice chancellor, Prof. Michael Ologunde, and was the deputy vice chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo, State.

He was a Professor of Plant Physiology, Department of Pure and Applied Biology.
