You remain our worthy mentor— Irepo LG Civil Servants felicitate Oyo Commissioner, Prof Salihu on appointment 

Civil servants from Irepo local government at the state secretariat on Monday officially congratulated on of their illustrious son, Professor Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu, also known as Abdul-one, on his appointment as Oyo Commissioner for Education.

The group who paid him a courtesy call at his office Agodi secretariat in ibadan, lauded Professor Abdul-one as a worthy mentor, describing him as a jolly good fellow with a natural affinity for both young and old.

They said: “the inbuilt capacity of Professor Salihu to relate very well with all the people in Kishi is one aspect of him we find so unique and intriguing. 

“We believe he will carry out his responsibilities well and continue to uphold our reputation, just as he just pledged to use technology to spur innovation in the state. 

“Moreso, by carefully examining his life, we have discovered a confirmation that there are many advantages to unwavering loyalty in whatever endeavour we find ourselves. We have every faith that he will successfully deliver and be committed to Oyo state progress under Makinde’s administration. 

“We want to congratulate you very much. We anticipate that you will use the variety of abilities you have developed over the years in your chosen career to support the administration of Governor Seyi Mankinde’s agenda.

“We pray for God’s guidance and divine direction on this delicate state assignment. 

“While we applaud the state governor, Seyi Makinde, for appointing the right people in his government, we also wish to appreciate the unwavering support of our deputy governor, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lwal, in making this a reality.”
