PDP stalwart ONIREASON lauds Gov. Makinde’s palliative measures over subsidy removal 

Mr. Sunday Kashimawo Ojedele, a prominent figure within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ido Local Gov’t and a fervent advocate for Governor Seyi Makinde, has lauded the Vice Chairman of Nigeria Governor’s Forum for his visionary approach to palliatives and economic recovery initiatives.

Popularly recognized as ONIREASON, Mr. Ojedele expressed his admiration for Governor Makinde’s strategic thinking and unwavering commitment to alleviating the economic burdens faced by the residents of Oyo state.

While acknowledging the governor’s unassailable reputation for proactive governance, ONIREASON commended the establishment of comprehensive measures that seek to mitigate the adverse effects of economic challenges particularly the subsidy removal. 

According to him: “Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration has demonstrated exceptional prudence by instituting a multi-faceted plan to address the repercussions of recent policy changes, including the removal of fuel subsidies. 

“The creation of a specialized committee, the Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SAfER), headed by Hon. Segun Ebenezer Ogunwuyi, stands as a testament to the governor’s commitment to steering Oyo state through economic uncertainties.

“Under the SAfER framework, multiple dimensions are being targeted to safeguard the livelihoods of citizens.

“Notably, emphasis is placed on bolstering transportation systems, providing essential food relief packages, empowering agropreneurs, and stimulating Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

“These strategies are poised to bring equilibrium to government revenue while shielding households from further financial hardships.- He said.

ONIREASON asserted that Governor Makinde’s leadership style is not only commendable but also exemplary within the Nigerian political landscape. 

“The governor’s reputation as a proactive leader stems from his consistent commitment to translating words into decisive actions that tangibly benefit the populace.
