Faceless Group: Ogbomoso North PDP Secretary, Jimoh Sikiru refutes antiparty claims against Rasak Agbeti
In response to recent unfounded allegations published by a faceless group and circulated through an unknown medium, the PDP Secretary of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. Jimoh Sikiru Idowu, has vehemently debunked claims making round against Alhaji Razak Gbadegesin that he was involved in anti party activities in the 2023 general election.
It was gathered that the accusations of anti-party activities and attempts to disrupt peace within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was categorically refuted by Hon. Idowu as well as other members of the party in the local government.
This was made known in a statement made available to MOUTHPIECE NGR on Wednesday.
According to the statement, Hon. Idowu urged the public to disregard the baseless news story, assuring that Alhaji Razak Gbadegesin is a dedicated member of the PDP and was actively involved in supporting the party during the last elections.
He emphasized that Alhaji Gbadegesin’s contributions, along with other party leaders such as Hon. George Ogunlade and Hon. Sunday Bankole (PDP State’s Treasurer), played a pivotal role in securing the party’s victory at the polls.
Furthermore, Hon. Idowu challenged the faceless group to provide concrete evidence to back their allegations, stating that their claims lacked credibility and were a disservice to the party and its members.
He stressed that Alhaji Razak Gbadegesin’s political reputation remains intact, and he continues to be well-respected within the political terrain in the state.
The allegations of youths storming Alhaji Gbadegesin’s residence and threatening violence were also refuted by Hon. Idowu, who termed these claims as entirely false and malicious.
“Such attempts to tarnish the reputation of a respected public figure are unwarranted and irresponsible.
Hon. Jimoh Sikiru Idowu expressed his confidence in Alhaji Razak Gbadegesin’s dedication to the PDP’s principles and values, urging law enforcement agencies to be cautious in handling unsubstantiated claims that could damage the party’s image.
Hon. Idowu called for unity within the PDP and urged members to focus on building a stronger party, guided by mutual respect and adherence to democratic values.
“The party would not be derailed by baseless accusations and would remain steadfast in its commitment to the betterment of the community and Oyo State.”- He said.
