We need peace in Ogbomoso North— Lawmaker, Bisi Oluranti-Micheal appeals to Gov. Makinde

The lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North Constituency, Mrs. Bis Oluranti-Micheal, has appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to intervene in the crisis rocking Ogbomoso North local government primary election over the choice of chairmanship position.

MOUTHPIECE NGR recall that several video footage circulated on social media in which PDP members were seen with various placards protesting and shouting at the house of the PDP Chieftain in the local government, Baba Saka Balogun, on Tuesday.

Bisi Oluranti, who reacted on Thursday to the development while fielding questions from newsmen at the House of Assembly Complex, said that power tussle by leaders is disrupting the peace of Ogbomoso North.

She said: “As the lawmaker representing the Ogbomoso North Constituency, I am not happy with the current events in Ogbomoso North and I am appealing to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde to intervene.

“I’m also pleading with our leaders and other interested parties in Ogbomoso North to shield their swords and find a peaceful solution.

The legislator added that the leaders must all be together because strength lies in unity and that only peace can bring progress to Ogbomoso North.

Later, she urged other important local government stakeholders to act fast to resolve the ongoing conflicts, noting that Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration will present greater prospects for Ogbomoso’s growth.

She equally urged the Ogbomoso North faction leaders to placate their supporters in order to promote peace, noting that anyone that emerge as the party candidate is her own preferred choice.
