Kazeem Kunle Olawoyin has expressed his gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde and his deputy, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal for their thoughtfulness and support.

Olawoyin was appointed the vice chairman following the removal of the former Chairman, Hon. Santana from office in which his deputy, Pastor Joel Oyetunji was later sworn in as current executive chairman of Irepo local government.

The appointment was met with enthusiasm and optimism from the local community as Mr. Olawoyin, a former supervisory Councillor, assumes the new leadership role.

Expressing his gratitude for the appointment, Kazeem Kunle Olawoyin extended his heartfelt thanks to Governor Seyi Makinde and Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal for their unwavering support and confidence in his abilities.

He acknowledged the significant role they played in his appointment and pledged to live up to their expectations.

“I am deeply honored and grateful to Governor Makinde and Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal for entrusting me with this important responsibility.

“I see this appointment as both a privilege and a challenge, and I assure them that I will work diligently to justify the confidence they have placed in me,” said Mr. Olawoyin.

Having previously served as a supervisory Councillor, it is expected that Kazeem Kunle Olawoyin will bring valuable experience and a deep understanding of local governance to his new role as the Vice Chairman.

While appreciating leaders and members of PDP in the local government, he expressed his commitment to building on the achievements of his predecessors and ensuring the continued progress and development of Irepo Local Government.

Olawoyin equally congratulated Professor A.A Salihu popularly known as Abdulone on his recent appointment as Oyo Commissioner for Education.

“I am fully aware of the tasks ahead, and I pledge my unshakable determination to deliver on the responsibilities of my new office. My focus will be on promoting transparency, inclusivity, and effective governance to better the lives of our people and uplift the local government to greater heights,” he added.
