The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, on Tuesday, commended the support and cooperation of the security agencies aimed at ensuring peace and safety in the Council.
Adeojo, who made the commendation during a joint monthly security meeting held at the Council Headquarters, equally thanked residents for the synergy, which existed between them and the security agencies.
While adding that his administration is committed to restoring sanity to the Council, he explained that he will continue to work to ensure that the communities continue to experience peace and progress.
While appreciating the efforts of the security agencies for ensuring peace before, during and after the Ileya festival, urged them to continue to sustain the tempo at which they are doing their work for the benefit of the people of the Council, and Oyo State at large.
Agencies represented at the meeting include Department of State Service, DSS; Nigerian Immigration Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC; and Divisional Police Officers from Kuola, Apete, Apata, Omi Adio and Eleyele police stations.
He, however, used the opportunity to present one generating set each to Kuola Police Station and Oke Alaaro Police Station.
In attendance were the Head of Local Government Administration, Dr. Mrs. Agnes Ojo; Director of Adminstration and General Services, Mr. Wole Oyelade; Director of Finance and Supplies, Mr. Gbenga Olaore, and a host of others.
