We’ll Continue To Prioritize Welfare Of Our Pilgrims – Oyo Deputy Governor
….Says this year’s Hajj exceptional
Oyo state government has reiterated that it will continue to prioritize the welfare of the 1,446 pilgrims from Oyo state to Mekka.
The Deputy Governor, who also doubled as Amir Hajj, Barrister Abdul Raheem Bayo Lawal, while addressing another batch of Oyo State pilgrims at their hotel, Ethar Al Wahj, in Makkah, thanked Allah for counting all the pilgrims among those that participated in this year’s Hajj.
He maintained that this year’s Hajj is very exceptional and the best of its kind in nature.
Lawal enjoined all the pilgrims to remember Oyo state and Nigeria in their prayers.
He also urged them to pray for Governor Seyi Makinde led administration in its bid to take the state to greater heights.
The Amirul Hajj admonished the pilgrims to continue to be good ambassadors of Oyo state.
Lawal, therefore, called on the pilgrims to report their health situations to the board members, saying there are adequate medical facilities and personnel to attend to the pilgrims accordingly.
He explained that three of the pilgrims who felt sick are now in stable conditions.
While praying that all the pilgrims will return to the State safely, the Deputy Governor announced his widow’s mite for all the pilgrims in the state.
The visit had in attendance the Chairman, State Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board, Professor Sayed Malik and Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor on Administration, Alhaji Kunle Sanni.
