Eid-el-Kabir: Let’s Keep Hope Alive, PDP DNC, Arapaja Charges Nigerians

The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has urged Nigerians during this year’s Eid-el-Kabir  (ileya festival) to keep Hope alive in the face of undaunting economic challenges bedevilling the country, and commit their total trust unto Almighty Allah who is able to lay every anxiety to rest.

Ambassador Arapaja made this call in a statement issued by him and made available to Press by his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim.

Ambassador Arapaja said that Eid-el-Kabir offers many lessons on selflessness and absolute trust in Allah, as exemplified in the life of Prophet Ibrahim who accepted to sacrifice his only son in obedience to the command and will of Allah.

He called on all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for the nation and reach out to the less privileged as well as the vulnerable ones in their environment.

Ambassador Arapaja used the occasion to call upon leaders, public officials, and employers of labour to note that positions and power are given by God to serve humanity, and for which they shall give account.

The former envoy also felicitate the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, the Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal, Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abubakar Agbotomokekere, Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo & Delta States, Alhaji Daud Makanjuola Akinola, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mahood Lekan Balogun and the entire Ummah in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

 Ambassador Arapaja stressed the need to pray for unity, peace, stability and development of Nigeria ; and wisdom to leaders in the quest to fulfill all their electioneering promises.
