PHOTOS: Compassion for the Aged foundation set to organize free medical outreach in Lagos

Compassion for the Aged foundation, a non-profit organization located in Lagos state, Nigeria is set to organize a 1-day free medical outreach tagged: REJUVENATE at Esa community, Isolo. Lagos.

According to a statement signed by the organizer, the purpose of the outreach is to commemorate the National seniors’ health and fitness day which takes place globally on the last Wednesday in May.

“As an organization concerned about the betterment of the health and fitness of senior citizens in Nigeria, we have decided to spread the word about the importance of eldercare, fitness and health care. The program tagged REJUVENATE will take place on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 at Esa Community, Isolo, Lagos State, Nigeria.

“We will be having activities like Eye check, Arthritis Assessment, Diabetes screening, Blood pressure check and fitness exercises. At Compassion for the Aged Foundation, our mission is to bring succor to the aged community through community-based interventions, health missions and economic interventions that will enhance inclusion and wellbeing of the aged community in Nigeria.

“The Executive Director of Compassion for the Aged Foundation- Oluremi Ajayi emphasized on the need for the Federal Government of Nigeria to devise a more inclusive healthcare intervention for the aged community so that we can make the society more habitable for them to flourish.
