Iba of Kishi, Bioraj, others pay courtesy call on Oyo Deputy Governor

On Thursday, the Iba of Kishi, HRM Oba Engr(Dr) Masoud Aweda O.Lawal Arowoduye II, led several prominent Irepo local government stakeholders on a courtesy visit to the office of the Oyo Deputy Governor, Barrister Abdul-raheem Adebayo Lawal.

The visit, which would be the first of its kind following the March 18th governorship election, also included Chief Aare of Kishiland, Baba JP Adesope, the president of the Kishi Progressive Union, and Jimoh Rahman Bioku, a well-known Kishi community leader and unifier known as BIORAJ and the Bobajiro of Kishiland.

They arrived at the secretariat at exactly 11am and held a closed door meeting with the deputy governor that lasted more than hours.

Although the details of their meeting was sketchy as at press time. It was, however, gathered that they had come to honor and identify with one of their own as the second high ranking citizen of Oyo state.

Speaking with newsmen after the meeting, they thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for being gracious to them and for his continual support towards Oke-Ogun zone as well as the local government of Irepo.

They expressed their best wishes for him and his deputy and stated that they will always be grateful to him for his thoughtfulness and concern towards Irepo local government.
