BREAKING. Sunday Bisi emerges PDP chairman in Osun

MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday affirmed Sunday Bisi as the elected Chairman of the PDP in Osun.

Bisi was elected at the State Congress of the Party held at the Osun Township Stadium In Osogbo, Osun State capital.

MOUTHPIECE NGR understands that Olasoji Adagunodo, a former embattled State party chairman and current National Vice Chairman South-West of the party had last year opposed his election.

But in a swift reaction, the state executive committee affirmed that Sunday Bisi remained State chairman of the party.

It was made known via a press statement, Ayodeji Areola, the State Publicity Secretary, who spoke after an executive committee meeting and condemned Adagunodo’s action of taking the party to court without exhausting domestic remedies as provided for by its constitution.

The Osun PDP Publicity Secretary added that a vote of confidence had been passed in Sunday Bisi as the chairman, having been appointed by the state executive committee on October 6, 2020, and ratified by the National Working Committee through a letter dated October 16, 2020.
