Afonja congratulates Gov. Makinde as he emerges new NGF’s Vice Chairman

The PDP Chieftain, Prof. Rafael Afonja AbdulRahman has felicitated with the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde as he becomes new Vice Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum.

MOUTHPIECE NGR had earlier reported on Wednesday that Alh. Abdulrazak Abdulrahmon, Kwara State Governor and, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Oyo State Governor emerged new Nigeria Governor’s Forum Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively.

Afonja, in his congratulatory message said: “I want to congratulate Engr. Seyi Makinde for reshaping the politics of our dear state with this new position. The image of Oyo State had again been launched to higher pedestal with this new status.

“Governor Makinde’s victory in the contest for the Vice Chairman is an acknowledgement of his brilliance, respect for his leadership qualities and capacity as a man with a clear vision for a greater Nigeria.

“It is also an acknowledgement of the mass appeal and acceptance he enjoys among his colleagues across party lines.”

He further urged Mr. Governor to “bring his administrative ingenuity as well as shrewd and political wizardry to bare in ensuring that Oyo State and by extention Nigeria feel the positive impact of the new position.”- He said.
