I didn’t take any dime from anybody in Ogbomoso— Bsquare opens up

HON. Damilare Sunday Olusanjo, also known as (BSQUARE), who aspired to be a lawmaker under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has debunked a rumor that he accepted a hefty sum of 600,000 naira from a politician during February 5th general election.

The former House aspirant denied the rumor in a statement obtained by MOUTHPIECE NGR on Friday.

He was also accused of collecting an additional three hundred thousands from a party leader in the zone to mobilize for the election of the party’s candidates.

Bsquare, a devoted party member, had before the presidential and national elections organized a door-to-door campaign for all of the candidates.

The former house of Assembly candidate said, however, that he had never once accepted money from a politician, much less a party candidate, for mobilization on election day.

He emphasized that as a devoted party member, he had been using his own money to raise support for all of the party’s candidates.

Bsquare questioned why, despite his dedication and financial assistance to the party in the run-up to the election, his name would be associated with dirt.

He encouraged PDP leaders and members to disregard the story, adding that it was spread by opposition members in the area to stir up conflict and is nothing more than a fabrication.

The statement read in part: “I, B-square didn’t receive a sum of 300,000 or 600,000 from the party or any leader of the party for elections.

“The only money received was from Hon. Akinwale Akinwole Solomon Wolekanle which was 100,000 only as a support for Hon. B.Square for the work he has been doing so far and he’s not the only one that such money was sent to but to other frontline of Hon. Wolekanle caucus just to appreciate them for their loyalty and support and the money was even spent for camping and the party.

“All money spent on election campaign was my personal money just to ensure all candidates under the PDP emerge as winner.

“So, any money released should be with party leaders and not Hon. BSquare.

“I am ready to take a legal action on anyone trying to spoil my name or reputation for their selfish open interest agenda”.
