Mammoth crowd at Total Comfort filling station, Ogbomoso South Local Government following the distribution of fuel to commuters free of charge across the local government.

Over 150 commuters were reported to have benefitted from the gesture and widely appreciated by all and sundry.

Speaking with MOUTHPIECE NGR on Thursday, the DG, Omituntun 2.0 Campaign Council, Ogbomoso South Local Government, Hon. Oladipupo Sunday Rotimi unequivocally stated the rationale behind the gesture, adding that it’s in a bid to cushion the scourge of the existing plights on the good people of Ogbomoso South.

He said: “After understanding the plights of our people, especially commuters, we decided to cushion the effects of hardship occasioned by ill-timed cashless policy of the APC government at the centre.

“This is so possible with the help of the Almighty and the Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor, Hon. Segun Ebenezer Ogunwuyi. Okada riders, Korope and Tricycle drivers were the most beneficiaries totalling to over 150 of them.”

When asked about their respective efforts towards ensuring the PDP is victorious in the upcoming March 18th gubernatorial election, considering the defeats suffered on February 25th, Mr. Rotimi said with utmost support of all leaders in Ogbomoso South, especially Segun Ogunwuyi, LG Chairman, Party chairman, Ward chairman, they’ve come together to retrace steps and ensure the defeat we suffered on 25th doesn’t repeat itself come Saturday.

“We’ve learnt from our mistakes and defeats and with all hands on deck, we are working tirelessly for the success of Engr. Makinde’s reelection bid and our Assembly candidate as well.”-

Hon. Rotimi, who had earlier distributed school materials also urged the good people of Ogbomoso South Local Government to troop out en mass on Saturday and cast their votes for PDP candidates.
