A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party and Board member Oyo Housing Corporation, Hon. Deacon Adekola Ayoade popularly known as Perpetual has described Governor Seyi Makinde as a pride of Oyo state, saying that he was miraculously elected governor in 2019.
Ayoade said that Makinde became governor despite being ranked 23 in the political heirachy in 2019 during the Omituntun 2022 Mega Praise, which was held at Government House Memorial Arcade, Agodi, Ibadan, on Thursday.
“Our God is a miracle-working God,” he declared. Despite having no prior position, he was elected governor. In Oyo state history, a person who was rated 23rd became number one in 2019.
Ayoade emphasized the need for the people of Oyo State to never stop giving thanks to God, noting that this is why they chose the theme Halleluyah for the year’s Mega Praise.
He continued by noting that not everyone was witnessing the event of the day because of their might or good acts, emphasizing that it is crucial to express gratitude and adoration to God.
According to him, when the country was struggling and people believed it would be a serious issue, our governor took the bull by the horn and stood beside the masses.
“That’s one of the reasons our governor is praising God and everyone of us as individual and I pray that God who have started a good thing in his life and our various lives will perfect it in Jesus name.
“And our desires as we proceed into 2023 which is a critical year for Nigeria; a year that will determine where we are going; a year that everyone of us must think outside the box; a year that we must look at the fact that we must be our brother’s keeper and a year that we must give GSM a 100% support so that our collective dream of building Oyo state become a reality.
“Therefore, we are using this opportunity to appeal to everyone of us to give him the maximum support and we know that one with God is majority”, he said.
Ayoade further described Governor Makinde as the architect of modern Oyo state praying that God will re-elect him in the forthcoming 2023 general election.
