Uneasy calm in APC as J.S Amodu, other Irepo APC leaders defect to PDP Saturday
Former and serving political leaders of the APC in Irepo Local Government had resolved to decamp en mass to the ruling party, the People’s Democratic Party, MOUTHPIECE NGR has learnt.
In an exclusive announcement by SeyiBayo Campaign Coordinator, Hon. T. T Olayiwola, the official welcoming of these decampees is slated for Saturday, 19th November at Ojude Oba Kishi by 3pm.
Following the appointment of the current deputy governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal, leaders across party lines in Irepo Local Government, Kishi and across Oyo State have indicated interests to support Makinde reelection bid come 2023.
Since his appointment, thousands had decamped to the PDP and this increasing rate day by day has been an indication that the ruling party, PDP is waxing stronger and a party to beat in 2023 general elections.
The announcement explicitly stated notable among the APC decampees which include; Hon. J.S Amodu, Hon. Yekeen Awoyale; former APC party chairman, Alhaji Idris Moye, Alhaji Jimoh Arowolo, Alhaji Soliu Adegoke, Alhaji Wahab Busari.
Others are; Hon. Sanusi Rafiu (Eja), Hon. Raheem Adetola; former APC Ward 9 Chairman, Hon. Rasaq Kareem; APC Youth Leader, Irepo LG, Sanusi Dayo; Youth leader (Ward7), Olaniyan Rasaq; Youth leader (Ward2), Israel Otolowo; Youth leader (ward8), Mrs. Faderera Success; Women leader (ward 10). Mrs. Balqees Morufu (ward4).
Also, Mr. Gbenjo Ogunshina, Baba Owonikoko Yunusa, Hon. Adeniyi Adeniran, Mr. Feminism Lawal, Mrs. Idiat Busari among others.
