LG Chairman, Omirinde bags prestigious NLGC award, dedicates to good people of Saki

Engr Omirinde Sarafadeen Ahmed, Chairman, Saki-West Local Government, on Thursday received “Nigeria Local Government Chairman  Award” in recognition of his achievements being one of the most outstanding Local Government Chairman in Nigeria.

The honour was conferred on Omirinde by the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs in collaboration with Segnip Promotion LTD.

Presenting the award by the conferrer, he said that the award was given to Omirinde to celebrate his dedication, commitment, and performance as an administrator.

“Quite a lot have been achieved by the Omirinde-led administration in Saki-West local government. His sterling performance earned him an unprecedented love from his people.

“We appreciate the council boss for ensuring the local government is progressing positively under his leadership in all sectors.

“We believe this award will go a long way to spur him and his management team to do more “, He said

Omirinde, in his acceptance speech, appreciated the FMSD and Segnip Promotion LTD for the award, assuring them of better performance.

“I specially dedicate this award to the good people of Saki-West who has entrusted us with mandate to serve them.

“We are ready to continue in this trajectory as a council, putting the interest of the good people of Saki-West Local Government at the top.

He urged the people of the area to get their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) and exercise their civic right in 2023.

Ahmed urged them to vote en masse for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and all its candidates in the general elections.
