Light Up Oyo: Oriire South LCDA gets solar street lights in 10 villages

In complimenting the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde’s “Light Up Oyo” project, Hon. Lydia Bankole of Oriire South LCDA has facilitated ‘Light-Up’ project across 10 villages in the local government.

Hon. Lydia Bankole made this known during an interview with our correspondent, noting that apart from illuminating the community at night, the street lights would also engender effective security of lives and property in the area.

“The installation of the street light was facilitated to illuminate the street of the communities, especially at night and to enhance the security of lives and property. Our people should be expecting more dividend of democracy from this administration”, Bankole said.

MOUTHPIECE NGR also gathered that the installation of solar powered street lights have begun at the 10 strategic villages across the LCDAThe beneficiary villages include; Temide, Okusubu, Alabidun, Odogbo, Elega 1&2, Moleyo, Ahoro Oko, Bolorunduro, Bowula.Recall that the Oyo State government had in 2019 and 2020 commenced the first phase and second phase respectively, as a way of strengthen security applications in the state. The project have been evenly facilitated to every part of Oyo State.The Council administrator enjoined people of the LCDA to continue their support and pray for her administration, urging them to not relent at given Engr. Seyi Makinde-led administration the necessary cooperation needed towards achieving more successes across the state.
