2023: PDP Ifedapo Federal Constituency hold Stakeholder meeting, Unites for Gov Seyi Makinde second term

In order to fine-tune plans to launch the campaign as a united family for the progress of the Party toward the 2023 general election and ensure the party records victory for all candidates at all levels, the concerned Stakeholders and other political functionaries of the party (PDP) in Ifedapo Federal held a Constituency meeting at Saki West Legislative chamber yesterday.

Hon. Siju Lawal, Commissioner for Training and Establishment, who presided over the meeting, noted that its goal was to address rifts plaguing our Federal Constituency as a result of stakeholder interests expressed in having candidates run in the general election. However, it was decided that we should as a matter of urgency adopt SEYI FOR SECOND TERM with the theme : “IFEDAPO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY PDP UNIFIED FOR SEYI FOR SECOND TERM”

According to a statement provided to MOUTHPIECE NGR on Sunday, the meeting’s main topic was the necessity for everyone who has benefited greatly from this administration to cast a bloc vote and ensure that all of the PDP’s candidates are successful in the election. That with this, “our Oliver Twist will ask for more Government patronage.”

The gathering did succeed in highlighting several grey areas, and leaders were given the go-ahead to address them.

Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Niyi Adebisi stressed the importance of restructuring their movement with a single voice and the necessity for their Constituency to be in good shape.

He cited the Ogunlesi Hall declaration of support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s bid for a second term as the Socio-cultural highest body of Ibadan natives, suggesting that Ifedapo Constituency stakeholders should emulate such actions by backing the governor and organizing a sensitization rally which shall engage electorates across the nooks and crannies of Ifedapo federal Constituency.

The stakeholders all resolved to be united in support of of Gov. Seyi Makinde on his re-election bid in order to promote good governance in Oyo State, submitting that the era of a divided house is over as leaders across Atisbo, Saki East and Saki West Local Governments attended the meeting and shared their thoughts on the way forward which include:

“Engaging in awareness rallies in all major towns in the Federal Constituency.

“An enlarged meeting should be called as quickly as possible, and all necessary members should be present.”

“All manners of creating factions within the Party should be avoided

“Committees are to be put in please to strategize towards victory of our candidates.”

Conclusively, the party House of Rep’s Candidate Ifedapo Constituency Hon Dr Salami Lukman Adisa Adamawa and members Oyo State House of Assembly and candidate of party in Saki State Constituency Hon. Femi Julius Okedoyin showed appreciation to all leaders presented for their dedication and support and pray for overall success for the party as a whole ahead 2023 general election.

Chairmen and Chairperson of Atisbo, Saki West and Saki-East LGs, Hon Agada, Hon. Mrs Arewa, Hon. Awujoola, Dr. Folarai Adam, Hon. Adetunji Aliu, Hon. Tunji Rafiu Adekunle, Alhaji Lateef Koomi , Alh. Ogundayo,. Hon. R. O Muslim, Party Chairmen for the three LGs, Barrister Sarafadeen Onijo,.Barrister Hassan Ajibade and a host of others.
