2023: Contesting against Makinde a waste of time— Olugbon tells Folarin, others

Oba Francis Alao, the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, has reiterated his unwavering support for Engr. Seyi Makinde’s administration and his re-election campaign in the upcoming general election in 2023, MOUTHPIECE NGR reports.

It was a waste of time for the APC and other political parties to compete against the PDP candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde, who is also the current governor of Oyo state, according to the top class monarch who made this disclosure on a political program called “Political Circuit” on Fresh Fm on Saturday.

Oba Alao, who spoke with great rigor, stated emphatically that Makinde has demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is an effective manager of people and resources. He cited the governor’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic period, during which the federal government at one point adopted Oyo state’s policies.

“We need not play politics of bitterness and consideration, simply because we want to avoid offending one personality or the other. Anyone with corrupt and bad records who feels he can hide under a presidential candidate will only be deceiving himself, as the masses are wiser and better at casting their votes now,” the monarch said.

He also claimed that he actively campaigned for the APC in 2019 and that the federal government, in particular, was a complete failure in terms of administration and policies that were intended to benefit the masses.
