Makinde’s re-election bid receives significant boost in Surulere LG

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, ‘Seyi Makinde’, has received more unwavering support from all zones in Oyo State, including Ogbomoso zone, for his 2023 reelection campaign, MOUTHPIECE NGR reports.

The significant boost was noticed by our correspondent on Thursday when Hon. Rasaq Mustapha, the Director General of Seyi Makinde in Surulere Local Government, convened a crucial Town Hall meeting to discuss issues crucial to Makinde’s 2023 reelection campaign, which was attended by a mammoth crowd.

Party leaders, Surulere LG office holders, PDP Local and Ward Excos, as well as other political honchos, attended the meeting that took place in Iresaadu.

In his welcome remarks, Hon. Rasaq expressed his great optimism in the capacity of leaders across wards in Surulere/Ogooluwa Federal Constituency, adding that he’s counting on them as field soldiers for the realization of Gov. Makinde’s reelection bid.

He emphasized the necessity of such crucial meeting as the starting point for uniting Surulere to accomplish their aims for 2023 as elections approach.

The one-time Caretaker Chairman, Surulere LG concluded his remarks by urging stakeholders to dedicatedly contribute their respective quotas to get PDP back in power, come 2023.

The PDP Chairman, Mr. Taiwo Adeyeye, in his corroborative words, enjoined all party stakeholders present at the meeting to capitalise on giant strides recorded by Makinde-led administration as selling point during electioneering campaigns.

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Barr. Olasukanmi Olaleye chipped in precipitately the need to ensure unrelenting efforts and unflinching support be accorded to Governor Makinde to him emerge victoriously come 2023.

Party leaders including Hon. Banji Folaranmi (Surulere), Hon. Isaiah Adegbite, Chairman, Surulere LG, Hon. Moruf Gbadamosi, and Hon. Ezekiel Abisoye, respectively, were present during the contentious discussion that lasted hours.

Others include; PDP OgoOluwa/ Surulere Rep Candidate, Hon. Ojo Sunday Makajuola (SMATO); Hon. Prince Lasisi Oladimeji; Hon. Peter Oyetunji; Hon. Caleb Alabi who represented Oyo Central S.D Campaign DG, the representatives of Non Indigenes, CAN & Muslim Community’s representatives, Market men & women representatives among others.
