BREAKING: Oyo fully ready for take off #SAPZNigeria— Bayo Lawal 

The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Abdul-raheem Adebayo Lawal has disclosed the readiness of Oyo state government to take off the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones #SAPZNigeria. 

He revealed this to participants on the second day of the event in Abuja on Tuesday, which focused on partnerships and contact with key investors.

Recall that MOUTHPIECE NGR had earlier reported that the Federal Ministry of Agriculture’s program, code-named #SAPZNigeria, which is intended to ensure food security in Nigeria, has received contributions totaling $400 million from the African Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, and International Funds for Agricultural Development. 

The initiative, which was introduced yesterday, will mark the beginning of SAPZ phase 1 and sends a clear message about Nigeria’s commitment to significantly improves its agricultural sector in order to create jobs, ensure food security, and produce economic revenue.

Lawal hinted that the state had constructed a total of one thousand kilometers of rural roads to drive the program.

Bar noted that it was high time all the states of the federation keyed into the program for the revival of the nation’s economy.

According to him, the monolithic economy being run by the country with dependence on oil could no longer take Nigeria to the promised land.

He added that the alternative way out of the economic crisis is Agriculture.

The DG Congratulates the drivers of SAPZ and the first set of benefiting states urging them to take full advantage of the program.

Seven out the 36 states in Nigeria are benefiting from the program. They are Oyo, Ogun, Kwara, Imo, Cross Rivers, kaduna, Kano and FCT.
