We’re not resuming, stay at home – LAUTECH tells students

The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso has sent message of advice to the students of the institution to stay at home.

It has advised the parents of the students not to allow their children to come to the school because the university is yet to resume.

The school made this revelation while reacting to a statement which claimed that the university has resumed.

Our correspondent reports that LAUTECH is one of the tertiary educational institutions owned by the Oyo State government.

DAILY POST gathered that a statement allegedly signed by the Registrar of the institution said that the university will resume on 18 August.

But, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Olalekan Fadeyi in a statement made available to DAILY POST said that the statement already going viral, allegedly signed by the Registrar, Dr. Kayode Ogunleye, did not emanate from the university management.

Fadeyi urged members of the public, especially parents, staff and students of the institution to disregard it.

He said, “The Management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has denied issuing any statement purportedly announcing resumption of academic activities on August 18, 2022.

“The statements already going viral, allegedly signed by the institution’s Registrar, Dr. Kayode Ogunleye, did not emanate from the university management”.
