Top politician in Ogbomoso loses wife

Death has been reported of Mrs. Adebunmi Christianah Ogunjobi, the proprietoress of Mayday College, Ogbegun area, Ogbomoso.

Mrs. Ogunjobi passed away during a brief illness Saturday morning at the age of 48.

Mouthpiece NGR gathered that she died at about 8:30 this morning at Bowen University Teaching Hospital (BUTH), Ogbomoso.

Her husband, Mr Ogunjobi disclosed she had battled with eye defects, which caused the elevation of her blood pressure.

Their Arinkinkin residence, since the news broke has been besieged by sympathizers including PDP leaders like Hon George Ogunlade (PDP chairman Ogbomoso North local government), Hon Jide Oketunbi (a former member of Public Complaints Commission) and Hon Tunde Babalola.

Ogunjobi described the deceased as “my pillar, my engine and a very committed woman. I don’t know how l will fill the vacuum her demise has created.

“She took care of the children, kept the home in good condition. I don’t know anything about such things. She managed our private school successfully. Her death is a big loss.”

Married to her for 19 years, he informed she would be buried on Monday at their residence after funeral service at Glory Baptist Church, Ogbomoso.

She is also survived by 4 children, an aged mother and siblings. Her father died last year with the burial held in November.
