Security agents rescue 69 kidnapped victims in Bauchi

Alhaji Abdulrazaq Nuhu Zaki, Bauchi State commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has revealed that security men rescue 69 kidnapped victims in the State.

MOUTHPIECE NGR learnt that they were set free on Saturday by security operatives and the vigilante.

He revealed that the security men invaded the forest where the bandits kept the victims.

The commissioner, in a statement on Friday, noted that Governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed boosted the morale of the council chairman, vigilantes, traditional rulers, security personnel and all stakeholders towards eradicating banditry in their area.

He confessed that Governor Bala led the battle himself, having visited the affected areas, commiserated with the people and encouraged them to resist the kidnappers.

The commissioner said the dislodgement of the bandits would bring big relief to people that had been terrorised, just as he commended the security agencies.
